The Living and Learning Enrichment Center Strengthens Leadership with New Board Appointments

The Living and Learning Enrichment Center Welcomes New Board Members in Northville

The Living and Learning Enrichment Center in Northville has made significant strides by appointing three new members to its board of directors: Minoti Rajput, John Avdoulos, and Michael Daranyi. According to Rachelle Vartanian, founder and president of the center, “The addition of Minoti, John, and Michael to our board strengthens our ability to deliver on our mission.”

Vartanian added, “With their leadership and support, Living and Learning will continue to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, offering therapeutic, social, and work-based experiences that allow our participants to achieve their full potential.”

Meet the New Board Members

Minoti Rajput brings a wealth of knowledge to the board as a certified financial planner and chartered special needs consultant, holding an MBA. For nearly 40 years, she has led Secure Planning Strategies, where she has specialized in developing financial and estate plans for affluent clients, business owners, and retirees. Her dedication to families with special needs is evident, as her firm has supported over 1,500 families, helping them create lifelong care plans for their loved ones.

Rajput actively participates in organizations such as the Academy of Special Needs Planning and the advisory board of FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation, reinforcing her commitment to independence for the special needs community.

John Avdoulos is a partner and office director at HKS, a national architecture firm with offices in Northville. He is a key member of the American Institute of Architects and serves on the Novi City Planning Commission, where he has held various roles since 2002. Avdoulos is also the Parish Council president for Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.

His extensive qualifications include three degrees from Lawrence Technological University that underscore his expertise in architecture, making him a valuable asset to the board.

Michael Daranyi serves as vice president of finance and treasurer at ITC Holdings Corp. in Novi. He oversees critical financial activities, including treasury management and risk assessments. Before relocating to Michigan in 2017, he was deeply involved with nonprofits in Tucson, Arizona, focusing on community support initiatives.

Daranyi is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, bringing his multicultural perspective to the board. He holds an MBA in finance and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, providing a solid foundation for his role in the center.

The Living and Learning Enrichment Center continues to strive toward its mission, aiming to create an environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive. With the expertise of Rajput, Avdoulos, and Daranyi, the center is set to enhance its programs and impact the lives of many.
