Body Cam Footage Reveals Officer Spotting Trump Attacker Moments Before Shooting

The Butler Township Police Department released body cam footage showcasing the critical moments leading up to an assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump on July 13. The footage captures an officer being hoisted to a rooftop near to the attacker’s location. Immediately spooked, the unarmed officer jumps down after spotting the gunman to equip himself with a firearm from his vehicle.

When the officer reappears into frame, the clip shows him returning to the rooftop, by which time the gunman had been neutralised. This dramatic event has raised many questions among law enforcement and the public, specifically around the ease in which the gunman gained rooftop access and commenced his attack.

Donald Trump received a minor wound to his ear while another person lost their lives as a result of the gunman’s deadly rampage.
