Farmington Hills Hosts Festive Chanukah Wonderland for Families and Friends

Celebrate the Joy of Chanukah in Farmington Hills!

This Chanukah season, the charming city of Farmington Hills invites families to immerse themselves in a festival of lights and fun at the much-anticipated Chanukah Wonderland. Running from December 25 through January 1, this festive wonderland promises delightful activities for children and adults alike, all with a sprinkle of holiday magic!

Jump into Fun!

One of the highlights of Chanukah Wonderland is the incredible dreidel-shaped moonbounce, which is sure to be a hit among the little ones. Picture this: giggling kids leaping into the air, surrounded by the festive atmosphere and the sound of joyous laughter. It’s the ultimate way to bounce into the holiday spirit!

Located at the former site of Buy Buy Baby in the heart of Hunter’s Square, the event is open to the public at selected times. On the Wednesdays of December 25 and January 1, families can pop in from noon to 4 p.m. for a whirlwind of hands-on workshops, tasty treats, and engaging activities.

Learn and Create!

Children will also have the chance to dive into the culinary world by learning how olives transform into oil. Not only will they be educated, but they can also roll up their sleeves to make delicious potato latkes and scrumptious Chanukah doughnuts. What better way to celebrate the festivities than with sweet and savory treats that they’ve prepared themselves?

And for those crafty kids, there will be a variety of fun holiday crafts to bring home. It’s a hands-on experience that children will cherish, creating memories they can share with family and friends!

New Excitement for Older Kids!

This year, there’s a thrilling addition for the older kiddos! Laser Tag is set to make an appearance, providing a lively outlet for teens and tweens who are looking for something a little more adventurous. So gather your friends and gear up for some friendly competition!

Mark Your Calendars for the Chanukah Parade!

On December 29, don’t miss the free Chanukah Parade and Celebration beginning at 4 p.m.. Join the beautiful procession through the Jewish Senior Life campus and Henry Ford Hospital, filled with radiant lights and community spirit. The parade culminates at the Wonderland site, where the celebration continues with festive food, a heartwarming menorah lighting, and vibrant seasonal music.

But wait, there’s more! Prepare to be amazed by a stunning performance from the world-famous Chicago Boyz Acrobats at the celebration! It’s sure to be a highlight of the season!

Additional Festivities to Enjoy

There’s plenty more on the agenda! If you’re a young adult, be sure to join the fun at the “Paint and Pasta” Chanukah party on December 28. Plus, the Family Challah Bake on December 27 at 10 a.m. will be a wonderful way to bring families together for both Shabbat and Chanukah.
