LANSING, Mich – Fast-food chain Chick-fil-A has declared that two new branches will commence operations in Mid-Michigan in 2025. As part of a broader expansion in Michigan, this move is all set to generate over 2,500 jobs in the upcoming years.

Locations and Expansion

One of the new locations will be located in Lansing on Cedar St. near Edgewood Town Center, slated to open its doors in late 2025. The company will also introduce its first restaurant in the city of Jackson on West Ave., expected to launch in early 2025.

The expansion in Michigan is comprehensive. The fast-food giant will be introducing approximately 25-30 new locally owned and operated restaurants across the state by the end of 2028. Multiple new locations will also open in the Detroit/Ann Arbor region along with one restaurant in the Flint-Saginaw Region and another in Benton Harbor.

About Chick-fil-A in Michigan

The fast-food chain first arrived in Michigan nearly a decade ago in 2015 and currently boasts 28 locations across the state. The new expansions will reiterate Chick-fil-A’s commitment towards enhancing its footprint in the area.

Economic Impact

According to Chick-fil-A’s announcement, the openings of these additional locations will create more than 2,500 jobs in Michigan. This economic impact will be seen not just through the creation of jobs but also in the significant boost of local economy where these locations will be set up through ancillary businesses like supply chain providers, security firms, cleaning services, and local vendors among others.

Looking Forward

The new Chick-fil-A locations in 2025 mark a critical phase in the company’s expansion strategy, demonstrating their commitment to serving more communities in Michigan. These openings stand to benefit thousands in the state through employment opportunities and by providing access to the beloved fast-food chain’s offerings for more Michigan residents.
