Excitement Builds in Commerce Township for Glenlore Trails: “Aurora”

The festive spirit is lighting up Commerce Township as the final preparations are underway for the much-anticipated illuminated Christmas walkthrough, Glenlore Trails. Set to open its doors on November 15, this enchanting experience promises to delight visitors with a mile-long journey through a beautifully adorned woodland. Tickets are now available for the event, themed Aurora.

Located at 3860 Newton Road in Metro Detroit, Glenlore Trails invites families and friends to immerse themselves in a magical evening filled with stunning light displays, enchanting sounds, and numerous interactive elements that are perfect for all ages. This year, attendees can look forward to a thrilling new addition: a magic wand that unlocks hidden surprises along the trail, making each visit even more engaging and surprising.

Our goal is to make each trip more magical than the last,” shares Scott Schoeneberger, Co-Founder of Glenlore Trails and Managing Partner at Bluewater Technologies. “Every year, for both our Halloween and holiday events, we introduce a new theme. Each facet—the lighting, the scenes, the gameplay—changes, ensuring that every experience feels fresh and captivating.”

Alongside the breathtaking displays, visitors can enjoy a variety of food trucks and concessions on-site, providing tasty treats to complement the evening’s adventures. Opening weekend also brings the added charm of live music, featuring Ben Sharkey performing in the concession area.

Families will find extra fun on November 17 from 5 – 7 p.m. with activities like balloon twisting and face painting, and there will be a chance for children to meet Santa from December 13-15.

Glenlore Trails: Aurora will be open until December 29, with ticket prices set at $25 for general admission, $15 for children aged 4-12, and $20 for seniors. It’s sure to be a joyful celebration of the holiday season that brings friends and families together to create lasting memories.
