Man, this world is a crazy place! There’s never a dull day when you stay in Canton, as a recent incident proved yet again. On a laid-back Monday afternoon, in the quiet area of Saltz Road and Redfern Street, calm was disrupted in the most uproarious way.
An elderly woman, who was just going about her day, somehow lost control of her vehicle and went right through a garage… yes, you heard that right, a garage!
This wasn’t enough drama though, her car continued on its mad journey right into someone else’s backyard. There, she ended up hitting a man. Yikes! That’s something you never see coming while lounging in your own backyard, right?
The man sustained some serious injuries, but they were not life-threatening. Phew! That’s some luck right there. Everyone involved was quickly rushed to the hospital for checkups and necessary treatments.
Now, this wasn’t just your run-of-the-mill fender bender. The Canton Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team was called in to look into this wild incident. They’re still trying to piece everything together, but if you know something, you can help. Reach out to their Detective Lieutenant Mike Andes or call up Crime Stoppers, you won’t have to reveal your identity.
All and all, this was a wild day out in our usually peaceful Canton, giving everyone a reason to ensure their own and others’ safety while on the road. And if you’re in your backyard, maybe keep an eye out for any rogue vehicles!
