Sponsor Our ArticlesNovi is buzzing with excitement as the fast-casual chicken chain Houston TX Hot Chicken, known for its spicy Nashville-style hot chicken, is set to open its second location in the metro Detroit area this Saturday. The new spot will be located at 43339 Crescent Blvd., right in the lively Novi Town Center.
Houston TX Hot Chicken, or HHC for short, is committed to serving halal, organic, never frozen, antibiotic-free, and hormone-free chicken. Their menu features mouthwatering chicken sandwiches, which are served on a brioche bun with a variety of sauces, along with fries, pickles, and slaw.
To celebrate the grand opening, HHC will host an event from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, where the first 250 customers in line will receive complimentary food. But that’s not all! There will also be a food challenge contest with cash prizes and an exotic car meet to keep the festivities lively.
One of the highlights of the event is the HWHAP (Houston We Have a Problem) Spice Challenge. Participants will compete to finish three of the spiciest tenders, with a grand prize of $1,000 up for grabs for the first to conquer the challenge.
The full menu at HHC also includes options like chicken tenders, Texas Caesar salad, fusion fries, and even milkshakes. Customers can enjoy their tenders served with slaw or waffles, and there are plenty of sides to choose from as well, including chicken soup and more classic sides.
If you’re feeling adventurous, HHC offers various spice levels for their chicken, ranging from no spice to a risky level labeled “Houston We Have a Problem”. The spice levels are clearly marked with their Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which can jump from zero to 600,000 and even reach two million for the waiver-required spice.
Novi’s new Houston TX Hot Chicken follows the chain’s first location in Sterling Heights, which is already gaining popularity. Fans can also look forward to a new spot in Troy, currently under construction and expected to open in early 2025.
Founded in 2021, this growing chain already has locations in multiple states including Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Texas, Utah, and Idaho. So, whether you’re a spice lover or just in the mood for some delicious chicken, HHC’s grand opening in Novi is definitely one to check out!
