Hancock Police Launch Investigation into Potentially Politically Motivated Attack and Property Damage

In Hancock, a quaint city located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, local authorities are currently investigating a series of unsettling incidents that happened last Sunday, believed to be politically motivated crimes. The Hancock Police Department responded to a distress call at around 5:45 PM from the 1600 block of Anthony Street. An 80-year-old man was reportedly run over by an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rider. The victim, whose name has been withheld for safety and privacy reasons, was minding his own business, placing a political sign in his yard when the unfortunate incident happened.

The injured man was provided immediate medical assistance and was transported to UPHS- Portage hospital where he remains in critical condition. From the preliminary investigations, police authorities believe the attack was not random but a targeted assault possibly fueled by political motivations.

Destruction of Property Linked to ATV Rider

Almost concurrently, two reports of property damage came in for the same subdivision. The damaged properties displayed support for Trump and law enforcement, suggesting a possible link between the incidents and the attack on the elderly man. Further police investigation has shown correlation, leading to the conclusion that the same ATV rider is likely to have committed these politically charged acts of violence.
