Leonard was a vibrant presence in Northville, known for his kindness, warmth, and the unbreakable bonds he forged with those around him.

A Life of Love and Family

Leonard was married to his beloved wife, Sidney Milstone, for an astounding 61 years. Their love story was one for the ages, showcasing deep commitment and affection that framed the Milstone family for generations. Together, Leonard and Sidney raised three wonderful children: Aaron, Jason, and Rebecca. He took immense pride in being a devoted father, nurturing a home filled with laughter and love.

The joy in Leonard’s life multiplied as he welcomed six grandchildren into the family: Bradley, Lauren, Benjamin, Katherine, and Matthew Milstone. To them, he was not just a grandfather, but a mentor and friend, always eager to share stories and experiences, imparting wisdom that only a loving grandparent can. Leonard’s legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those little ones as they carry forward the values he instilled in them.

Fond Memories

Leonard was also the loving brother of the late Esther Schwartz. He held dear the many fond memories they shared, and his connection to family ran deep. Leonard has left behind a treasure trove of love in his passing, survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by his spirit.

The Farewell

A heartfelt funeral service in Leonard’s honor will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The service is set to be held at the Ira Kaufman Chapel, located at 18325 W. Nine Mile Rd., Southfield, MI 48075. Following the interment, family and friends are invited to gather at 18491 Santa Ann, Lathrup Village to share stories, laughter, and perhaps a few tears as they celebrate Leonard’s extraordinary life.

In a warm gesture of remembrance, there will also be a gathering on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This time allows loved ones to come together to reminisce about Leonard and to support one another during this difficult time.

A Legacy of Kindness

In lieu of flowers, Leonard’s family encourages contributions to be made to the American Diabetes Association, a cause that was dear to Leonard’s heart. Through these contributions, Leonard’s legacy of caring extends beyond his immediate circles, helping many others who face similar challenges.

The obituary marking his passing was posted online on March 24, 2025, serving as an invitation for all who knew him to remember his warmth and generosity. Leonard Milstone’s departure is a poignant reminder of the impact one individual can have on many.
