The Living and Learning Enrichment Center Welcomes New Board Members in Northville
The Living and Learning Enrichment Center in Northville has announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors: Minoti Rajput, John Avdoulos, and Michael Daranyi. This move is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the center’s mission of supporting individuals with disabilities.
Rachelle Vartanian, the founder and president of the center, expressed her enthusiasm about these new appointments. She stated, “The addition of Minoti, John, and Michael to our board strengthens our ability to deliver on our mission. With their leadership and support, Living and Learning will continue to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, offering the therapeutic, social, and work-based experiences that allow our participants to achieve their full potential.”
Minoti Rajput joins the board as a certified financial planner and chartered special needs consultant, bringing nearly four decades of experience as the founding president of Secure Planning Strategies. Her focus has been on creating financial and estate plans for families with special needs. Having worked with over 1,500 families in her career, Rajput is recognized nationally for her expertise in this field. She is also actively involved with organizations aimed at helping the special needs community.
John Avdoulos, a partner and office director at HKS, an architecture firm, has a wealth of experience in community planning. As a member of the American Institute of Architects and vice-chair of the Novi City Planning Commission, he has dedicated himself to local development efforts. Avdoulos also leads as the Parish Council president at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, demonstrating his commitment to both his profession and his community.
Michael Daranyi serves as vice president of finance and treasurer for ITC Holdings Corp. He brings his expertise in financial planning, analysis, and management to the board. Before relocating to Michigan, Daranyi was treasurer for two nonprofits in Tucson, Arizona, focusing on community-serving initiatives. His advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion highlights his dedication to making a positive impact in the community.
The addition of these three experienced professionals is anticipated to bolster the Living and Learning Enrichment Center’s efforts to provide comprehensive support to individuals with disabilities in the Northville area. With their diverse backgrounds and commitment to service, the new board members are poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
