Wan now faces three significant charges, which include:

She was taken into custody and has been placed in jail, with a bond set at $100,000. If she manages to post the bond, there are strict stipulations in place: she will be required to wear a GPS tether and surrender her passport. Wan’s next court date is on the horizon, scheduled for March 21, 2025.

Four women, all originally from China and lacking English language skills, were rescued from these parlors. It was reported that these victims were forced to work grueling hours, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week. Their primary task was to provide massages to male patrons, all while living under harsh conditions.

These women faced numerous injustices, including a troubling lack of access to things many take for granted such as transportation, medical care, and communication with friends and family. Disturbingly, they were paid little to nothing for their labor.

Upon their rescue, the victims were taken to local support organizations like Common Ground and CARE House of Oakland County for the help and resources they desperately needed.
