Michigan Couple Charged in Post-Wedding Tragedy

The Flint Police responded to a pedestrian injury crash on August 30. Upon arrival, the officers found 29-year-old Terry Lewis Taylor Jr., who had sustained grave injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Taylor unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Under investigation, the police discovered that Taylor had been a groomsman earlier that day at the wedding of 22-year-old James Shirah and 21-year-old Savahna Collier. A heated argument that ignited during the wedding reception ended tragically when Taylor was hit by an SUV driven by none other than the groom, Shirah.

James Shirah, the newlywed groom, has been charged with second degree murder in connection with Taylor’s death. His bride, Savahna Collier, faces charges of felony accessory after the fact, as it’s believed she assisted her husband post-incident.
