Canton to Welcome New 280-Unit Apartment Complex: Springs at Willow Creek

Canton Welcomes New Apartment Complex: Springs at Willow Creek

_Canton_ is set to see the rise of a new apartment community as early site work begins on a brand new 280-unit complex. Named _Springs at Willow Creek_, this development is located on a spacious 40-acre lot on the east side of Lotz Road, nestled between Ford and Cherry Hill roads. The project is being developed by Continental Properties, a well-known national developer specializing in _multi-family communities_.

The company plans to welcome residents as soon as _next summer_, with leasing expected to start around that time. The complex will include 14 two-story townhome buildings, each housing 20 modern apartments. Options will range from cozy studio units to expansive one-, two-, and even three-bedroom apartments, all featuring _private ground-level entrances_ and an option for attached garages.

Anticipated monthly rents are projected to be between _“$1,440 and $2,600”_. According to a recent press release, Heather Riggs, a vice president at Continental Properties, highlighted that future residents will enjoy a _resort-style living experience_ thanks to a variety of amenities that will include a 24-hour fitness center, a modern clubhouse for social gatherings, and two designated pet playgrounds.

Further enhancing the community’s appeal, plans also feature a _gated entrance_ surrounded by charming decorative fencing, ensuring a secure environment for all residents. Pre-leasing for Springs at Willow Creek will begin in the summer of _2025_, allowing interested renters the chance to tour the property and explore different floor plan options and finishes.

Move-in dates are slated for the fall of 2025, coinciding with the completion of the community clubhouse and the first apartment building. The development has gone through multiple reviews and was successfully approved by the Canton Township Planning Commission and Board of Trustees earlier this year in April.

This isn’t the first attempt to develop this parcel of land; it was rezoned for residential purposes back in 2016. In 2018, another developer received approval for a residential project, but plans for apartments and then condominiums never materialized.

As demand for quality housing continues to rise in the Detroit metro area, Continental Properties is excited about meeting this need with Springs at Willow Creek. Their commitment to creating a warm and thoughtfully designed community is clear. They also noted the excellent connectivity the area offers, with close proximity to superb schools and ample retail options, making this development a promising addition to Canton.
