Leonard Milstone: A Lifelong Partner and Proud Family Man

Leonard Milstone, aged 87, departed this world on March 22, 2025. He was more than just a resident of Northville; he was a devoted husband to Sidney Milstone, with whom he shared an incredible 61 years of marriage. Their relationship was the kind that many aspire to have—a tale of love, partnership, and mutual respect.

The Milstone family remembers Leonard as a cherished father to three children: Aaron and Amy, Jason and Kristen, and Rebecca and Frank Tandoo. He was a proud grandfather, known for his love and affection towards his five grandchildren: Bradley, Lauren, Benjamin, Katherine, and Matthew Milstone. Leonard was also a loving brother to his late sister, Esther Schwartz, and an endearing brother-in-law to many.

His passing leaves a gap not just in his family but in the community as well. A funeral service to honor Leonard will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at The Ira Kaufman Chapel at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Beth El Memorial Park, where friends, family, and community members can gather to pay their respects.

Scott Frush: A Community Leader and Friend

In another devastating loss, Northville Township Trustee Scott Frush passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2025, at the age of 53. Known for his dedication to the township, Scott was a well-liked figure who engaged fully in community service. Appointed as a trustee in 2019 and re-elected in the fall of 2024, he served as the deputy treasurer since 2021, contributing to the township achieving a remarkable AAA bond rating.

A diligent student, Scott was pursuing a doctorate in business administration from the University of Florida, demonstrating his commitment to both personal growth and professional excellence. He leaves behind his devoted wife Christina and their two children, Ryan and Gabriella, who will continue to feel the impact of his love and guidance.

As a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and the Northville Township Parks and Recreation Commission, Scott’s absence will surely be felt deeply across many spheres. In his memory, flags in Northville Township will be flown at half-staff, a symbol of the respect and admiration he garnered from all who knew him.

A visitation for Scott will occur on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, providing an opportunity for friends and community members to pay their last respects. A funeral Mass will follow on Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m.

As family members and friends prepare to say their goodbyes to these remarkable individuals, a spirit of unity is palpable in the air. Meanwhile, another loss ripples through the community with the passing of 89-year-old William “Bill” Henry Meyer on March 15, 2025. Bill, known for his work ethic and generosity, leaves behind his three sons and a large family that will miss him dearly. He had a special place in the community as a member of the Northville United Presbyterian Church and the Masons. Services will be held on Monday, March 24, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Northville Funeral Home, followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

As Northville reflects on the impact of these three lives, it’s a reminder of how interconnected the threads of community can be. Each life touched others, and the echoes of their contributions will continue to resonate.
