Leonard was a devoted husband to Sidney Milstone, with whom he shared a beautiful life for an incredible 61 years. Their enduring love story was an inspiration to many in the community. Friends and family will surely remember Leonard fondly for his loving spirit and the joy he brought to those around him.
As a parent, Leonard was a dedicated father to Aaron, Jason, and Rebecca Milstone. He took immense pride in his role, always encouraging and supporting his children throughout their lives. Leonard also cherished his role as a grandfather, bringing joy to the hearts of his five grandchildren: Bradley, Lauren, Benjamin, Katherine, and Matthew Milstone. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter and love, as Leonard enjoyed every moment with his dear ones.
Born and raised in Northville, Leonard made countless friends over the years. He was the loving brother of the late Esther Schwartz and was deeply connected to the community. His warmth touched the lives of many, making him a cherished figure in Northville. Those who knew him describe him as someone who could light up a room with his smile and gentle nature.
Leonard’s life will be celebrated during a funeral service on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The service will take place at the Ira Kaufman Chapel, located at 18325 W. Nine Mile Rd., Southfield, MI 48075. Following the interment, friends and family are invited to gather, sharing stories and memories of the dear man they all knew.
The Milstone family has also organized a gathering on Thursday, March 27, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 18491 Santa Ann in Lathrup Village. This will allow friends, family, and community members to come together in a spirit of remembrance and support during this challenging time.
In lieu of flowers, the Milstone family has requested that contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association in Leonard’s memory. This act of kindness reflects Leonard’s caring nature and his deep desire to help others, even in the face of loss.
