Hey there, Northville! If you’ve ever dreamed of hosting the ultimate parties or living like royalty, there’s an incredible opportunity knocking at your door—in the form of a jaw-dropping megamansion. This lavish 27,000 square foot home, not only boasts a breathtaking design, but is also primed for entertaining on a grand scale. Priced at a cool $5.5 million, it’s located in the affluent suburbs of Detroit.
According to John Goci, the listing agent, this mansion is truly “the ultimate entertaining home.” Can you imagine hosting a gathering of 300 people? Well, this megamansion has a basement that can make that dream come true! It’s massive, coming in at a whopping 10,000 square feet with direct access to a covered porch that connects to a glistening pool. Talk about a summer bash! Whether it’s a extravagant birthday bash or a classy gala, this place has space galore.
The original owner went all out, selecting exquisite marble from a mine in Lebanon for the exterior, and spare no expense during the construction, which was completed in 2005. Sadly, circumstances led to the home being lost to foreclosure. But don’t worry, it was rescued in 2013 by Nagji Sutariya, the founder of Saturn Electronics. He gave his son, Raj Sutariya, an unlimited budget for renovations, and boy, did they take it seriously!
Goci shares that Sutariya’s only request was that every feature be completely unique. And that’s exactly what they did! From impressive entryways to massive staircases, custom columns, and soaring 50-foot ceilings, any visitor will surely be in awe. Goci remembers his first impression vividly, saying, “I said, ‘Oh my, this is my dream house! I just have to win the lottery to afford it.’”
If you’re a fan of cooking, you’ll love the gourmet kitchen. It’s designed for foodies everywhere, with two giant islands, high-end appliances, and enough refrigerators to keep all your food chilled during those grand events. Goci insists, “A lot of people like to have a lot of cooking space. It’s the ultimate gourmet chef’s kitchen!”
After a long evening of celebration, guests won’t have to stress about getting home. With ten luxurious bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, there’s plenty of room for everyone to crash. The master bedroom is especially swanky, featuring a private balcony, a massive 1,200-square-foot closet, and a bathroom fit for a king or queen, complete with a soaker tub and a cozy fireplace.
But wait, there’s more! The gorgeous outdoor space features a large gazebo and what Goci describes as “one of the largest private pools in the area.” Can you picture yourself hosting summer barbecues by the pool? Not to mention, the heated driveway means no worrying about shoveling snow in winter—what a win! With 26 thermostats throughout, comfort is guaranteed no matter the season.
Sadly, the story of this spectacular mansion isn’t just all glitter and glamour. Nagji Sutariya passed away in 2016 after a brave battle with brain cancer, leaving behind a legacy of humanitarian work alongside his widow and sons. Goci reflects on the home, saying, “The house is like a palace. It looks better than Buckingham Palace, in my opinion. It’s a house that was built with an unlimited budget.”
The chance to own a piece of lavish living in Northville is knocking. For those who may have the funds, this magnificent marble megamansion could be your next dream home or your ultimate party palace.
