A 30-year-old man is currently hospitalized after a serious incident on I-96 that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The accident took place around 4:30 p.m. on westbound I-96, near Merriman Road.
According to reports from the Michigan State Police, the Southfield man was running across the interstate when he was hit by a passenger vehicle. Immediate action was taken at the scene, with bystanders performing CPR on the injured man before Livonia EMS arrived to transport him to a nearby hospital.
