Pontiac Trail Set to Close for Community Block Party in Wixom This Saturday

If you’re thinking about heading out on Pontiac Trail this Saturday, you might want to change your route! The famous street in Wixom is taking a break from the cars and traffic for a big community Block Party. Yep, that means Pontiac Trail will be closed off for traffic between Wixom and Old Wixom roads for the whole day.

But there’s no need to worry if you have to be in the area that day. The detouring route for traffic will be via Wixom Road to Old Wixom Road, and then back to Pontiac Trail. So, it’s just like taking a small detour to support our community fun.

The section that will be closed off usually sees about 10,810 vehicles on the daily. That’s quite a lot! But this Saturday, it’s all going to be clear in favor of the block party event. From what we’ve heard, this party is set to be a blast!

The event is expected to bring together the local community and provide residents with a day full of fun activities, entertainment, and the chance to get to know their neighbors a little better. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to try out local food stalls and enjoy games and activities for all ages.

The traffic will be rerouted through specific areas to ensure that the event goes on smoothly and safely. Safety measures will be put in place for the duration of the event, and roads are expected to reopen later on Saturday night.

So, if you’re in the area, why not give your car a rest day and join in on the fun? It sounds like it’s going to be a crowd-pleaser, and we’re already excited! For more details on the block party, check out the event link here.
