Redford Township: Man Shot and Killed in Domestic Violence Incident

REDFORD TWP. — A tragic domestic violence incident took place early Monday morning, resulting in the death of a man in his 30s. Police were called to a home on Delaware Avenue, near the intersection of Five Mile and Beech Daly Roads, just before 12:30 a.m. on November 4.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the man deceased inside the residence. Fire department personnel provided immediate treatment at the site before rushing him to Corewell Health Hospital in Farmington Hills, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed, and authorities are remaining tight-lipped about the situation leading up to the shooting. However, they confirmed that a suspect was present at the scene and has since been arrested.

Police described the incident as an act of domestic violence, but they have not released further details regarding the suspect or the events that unfolded just before the shot was fired. Officials reassured the community that this shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing danger to the public.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to reach out to Detective Hand at 313-387-2578 or via email at whand@redfordpd.org.

The community is left in shock, wishing for answers and justice as they process this unfortunate event.
