A recent road rage incident resulted in a temporary shutdown part of eastbound I-96 on Friday night in Livonia.
The incident took place near Middle Belt Road where traffic was rerouted onto eastbound Schoolcraft at the Middle Belt exit. After the detour, drivers were allowed to re-enter the freeway at Inkster.
According to the law enforcement officers at the scene, two shots were reportedly fired on the freeway during the incident. Luckily, there doesn’t seem to have been any injuries resulting from the incident.
Around 10:15 pm, the Livonia police department announced that the freeway section was reopened and normal traffic was resumed.
This incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers and unexpected situations that can occur on our roads.
