Student Injured in Accident Outside Stevenson High School in Livonia

LIVONIA, MI – Student Struck by Vehicle Outside Stevenson High School

A teen was hit by a vehicle this morning just outside Stevenson High School in Livonia. According to a letter sent to families by Principal Pete Mazzoni, the incident occurred while the student was crossing at the traffic light located at Six Mile Rd. near Farmington.

The authorities, including Livonia Police and Emergency Medical Services, rushed to the scene following the accident. Thankfully, Principal Mazzoni mentioned that the student is currently receiving treatment and is “expected to be okay.” However, the exact condition of the student has not yet been disclosed.

In his message, Mazzoni reassured families that the school day continues as planned at Stevenson. “Please join us in wishing the student well,” he said. He also took the opportunity to remind parents and guardians that dropping off students is not permitted in the bus loop before 7:15 a.m. This rule is in place to ensure that school buses have clear access and to enhance the safety of students crossing at the traffic light.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder for everyone to be extra cautious on the roads around schools. Our thoughts are with the student and their family during this time.
