After Shooting, Texas State Fair Bans Guns. Republicans Want Them Back.
In the aftermath of a horrific shooting at the Texas State Fair in 2023, in which three individuals were wounded, event organizers have responded by imposing a ban on firearms at the cherished annual celebration. The state party’s platform is also calling for the abolition of “gun-free” zones across Texas.
