A community in Plymouth finds itself in mourning after an accident claimed the lives of a beloved father and his son last weekend. Dan Hordov and his youngest son, Wyatt, were victims of a tragic car crash as they were returning from a soccer tournament in Grand Rapids.
According to reports, the family was traveling from the tournament when the fatal accident occurred. The father and son duo couldn’t survive their injuries and tragically passed away. Dan’s wife, Anna, sustained a serious back injury and she continues to fight for her life in the hospital as of today.
The couple’s eldest son, Zachary, was treated for minor injuries and has been released from the hospital. This eleven-year-old soccer enthusiast is part of the Plymouth Reign Soccer Club, Boys 2013 Green team, which regularly participates at local fields like Edward Hines Parkway, Robert Bosch’s fields, and the Lake Pointe Soccer Park.
The grieving family’s friends, well-wishers, and the entire community are coming together to extend their support in this hour of need by establishing a Go-Fund-Me account. Their aim is to raise funds that could help Anna and Zachary with medical expenses and other immediate needs.
Dan, 44, will be remembered warmly by his colleagues at the Kennedy Nemier Insurance Agency of Plymouth where he worked as an insurance broker-agent. He was also part of the Plymouth Noon Rotary Club, making frequent contributions to community services.
The incident has shaken the entire Plymouth community, leaving everyone in deep sorrow and rallying support for the remaining family members, Anna and Zachary. All are encouraged to make a contribution to the Go-Fund-Me account and show their support in any way possible.
