Get ready, Northville! The highly anticipated 35th annual Victorian Festival is right around the corner, promising loads of family-friendly fun and entertainment. Set against the scenic vista of historic downtown Northville, this beloved event brings to life the town’s vibrant spirit and rich heritage. So, mark your calendars for the biggest event of Fall – Friday, September 20th to Sunday, September 22nd.

The Victorian architectural beauty of Northville is the inspiration for this grand festival, which has now become a cherished tradition. The Victorian Festival is much more than an event; it’s a joyful celebration of community identity and a significant platform for local nonprofits and community groups to raise funds. The festival guarantees three days of unending fun and activities that cater to all ages, making it the perfect family outing.

A personal favorite is the Victorian Parade, which will kickstart the festivities at 6:30 pm on Friday. Saturday’s highlight is the petting farm, open from 11 am, followed by ‘Crazy Craig’s performance at 11:30 am. Make your Sunday a memorable one with horse and carriage rides available from 11 am. The full schedule of events can be accessed on the official festival website.

While in Northville, we highly recommend the following fall activities guaranteed to charm both kids and adults alike:

  • Embrace the fall vibes with cider and donuts: Head over to Parmenters and Three Cedars Farm for some delicious treats and kid-friendly fun.
  • ‘Skeletons Are Alive’ In Downtown Northville: They are livening up the town with games, shopping, and loads of free entertainment throughout October. So, make sure to explore the festive streets, support local businesses, and get some great snaps too!
  • Pay a visit to Maybury State Park: Say hello to the animals, enjoy a tractor ride to the corn maze at Maybury Farm, let the kids loose on the playground, and take a serene nature walk on the trails.
  • Get lost in stories at the Story Festival: Head over to The Ford House in Grosse Pointe on September 14th for a magical storytelling experience.

Northville’s Victorian Festival promises a fun-filled weekend, combining historical appreciation with the vibrant energy of fall festivities. Don’t miss out on this fantastic annual event that truly offers something for everyone!
