Classic cars cruising streets.
The city of Detroit once again came alive with the roar of engines and a parade of classic cars up and down Woodward Avenue, marking the return of the much loved Woodward Dream Cruise. The auto extravaganza, which has been charming car enthusiasts since 1995, is held annually on the third Saturday in August.
This year, renowned car expert Ken Lingenfelter joined in on the festivities. As part of his annual tradition, he drove down Woodward and lapped up the attention his impressive car drew from the public.
A round through Woodward Avenue with Ken Lingenfelter at the wheel is an annual spectacle that many look forward to. Today, as the dream cruise kicked off, Lingenfelter didn’t disappoint. He shared his passion for cars and his insights into the auto industry with spectators lining the route.
Lingenfelter, who’s known for his vast collection of cars, brought a piece of that automotive elegance to the 16-mile route of the dream cruise.
In today’s opening event itself, classic car lovers were treated to a feast of automotive history rolling down the avenue. And with the event running from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., there is ample time for everyone to soak in the spectacle.
The Woodward Dream Cruise promises not just beautiful cars but also engages the community in an atmosphere of shared appreciation for these rolls of art and history.
Fans unable to be there in person need not worry. The event will be broadcast tonight, allowing fans to catch all the excitement from the comfort of their own homes, via their favorite streaming devices.
The Woodward Dream Cruise is not just about cars; it’s a testament to Detroit’s rich automotive history, the impact of which resonates far beyond the city’s boundaries. This event continues to be a shining beacon for car enthusiasts from across the globe.
